Child Safety Standards
RedString is an adults-only service
RedString is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. Every account requires confirming you are 18 or older, and we take steps (described in our Privacy Policy) to keep the app focused on adult users.
Being an adults-only service does not reduce our responsibility to protect children. RedString has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any sexual exploitation of a minor — whether by an adult user, a minor who has gained unauthorized access to the app, or anyone else.
What we prohibit
RedString strictly and expressly prohibits, by any user, in any part of the app:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form
- Grooming or attempting to groom a minor for sexual or exploitative purposes
- Sexualization of a minor, including sexualized comments, requests, or content referencing a minor
- Facilitating, arranging, or advertising trafficking or exploitation involving a minor
- Any other sexual exploitation of a minor
This prohibition applies regardless of whether the minor is a RedString user, and regardless of where the conduct occurs, including inside private conversations.
How we respond
- Reporting. Any user can report a concern directly from the app without needing to leave the app. You can also reach us directly at childsafety@redstringdating.com.
- Review. We review reports involving suspected CSAE/CSAM as a priority.
- Removal. Where we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE-related content or behavior, we remove or disable it, and take action against the associated account, which may include immediate suspension or permanent removal.
- Legal cooperation. Where required by applicable law, we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and, for CSAM specifically, with applicable mandatory reporting obligations to the relevant national authority. The exact reporting bodies and legal obligations that apply to REDSTRING DATING LTD depend on where it operates and must be confirmed with legal counsel.
- No retention beyond what's needed for safety. Evidence associated with a CSAE/CSAM report is retained only as needed for safety, moderation, and legal compliance purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
